Recording Priorities and Conflicts
Magic TV™ will constantly check to see whether any new recordings or changes to a Scheduled Recording cause an overlap.
Dual Tuner Magic TV™ models like MTV9500/MTV9600D and MTV9000/MTV9100D reduce the likelihood of conflicts by allowing programmes to be viewed and recorded on 2 different UHF frequencies simultaneously.
Channels on same frequencies (Correct as of 1st Jan 2017) |
|
---|---|
UHF frequency#1 | CH81, CH96, CH99 |
UHF frequency#2 | CH82, CH83, CH84, CH85 |
UHF frequency#3 | CH31, CH32, CH33 |
For example you could record channel 81 and channel 85 simultaneously, and watch any of 99, 31, 32 and 33 at the same time. |
Note: For Magic Link model users, only one external input can be recorded or viewed at once. For example, with Magic Link, you can record either now TV or Cable TV, but not both simultaneously.
If Magic TV™ detects an overlap or conflict when making or amending a Scheduled Recording, a message will appear asking you to set the priority for that programme.

Higher | This programme will be recorded instead of lower priority Scheduled Recordings |
---|---|
Lower | If a Higher priority scheduled recording conflicts with this one, the other will be recorded |
Cancel | This will cancel the new recording/adjustment |
Note: Magic TV™ will still attempt to record as much as possible of lower priority programmes.
